We are delighted to welcome Frances to the team.
Frances grew up and went to school in nearby Twickenham and now lives locally in Isleworth. After graduating from the University of Leeds with a BA in Classical Civilisation, she worked at Woodkirk Academy, West Yorkshire, as a Behaviour Support Worker. Combined with her enthusiasm for English and literature, this inspired her to undertake an English PGCSE at the UCL Institute of Education (IOE). Frances developed her teaching career at Cranford Community College in Hounslow, taking on the role of Key Stage 3 Co-ordinator within the school’s Outstanding English department, before being promoted to Second in charge of English and Literacy. Passionate about education and inclusivity, alongside her teaching Frances also completed her Masters of Teaching at the IOE, where she embarked on an independent research project focused on enabling SEN learners to access Shakespeare and the GCSE curriculum. Outside school, Frances frequently takes part in charity runs, and is always seeking out new and exciting creative events such as immersive theatre productions and live music performances.
